  1. Life is short. There have been almost one million deaths in the USA this year from COVID. Some of us know people or entire families who have succumbed to this illness, as well as those who have died from other causes. Make the most out of your life. You only get one.
  2. Health is wealth. While money is necessary, health is the most important thing we have.
  3. Do what you love. Our time here on earth is precious. Don’t delay doing the things that bring you joy.
  4. People come first. The people you love won’t always be here. Neither will you. Nourish your relationships. Be vulnerable. Say everything you need to say while you can.
  5. Your job is how you make your money. Your job does not define you. Also, your job does not love you and can not bring you fulfillment, happiness, or an identity. Do not give too much of yourself to your job at the expense of the other areas in your life that matter the most.
  6. It’s important to watch your physical health. Your physical health matters. Preexisting conditions make you more susceptible to a poor outcome from catching COVID. It is a necessity to eat healthy, perform physical activity, and get enough sleep.
