I’m sure we all remember, because it wasn’t too long ago, when the dog whistle was that a vote for Joe Biden was really a vote for Kamala Harris. Why? Because Joe Biden was senile, so Harris, or Barack Obama, would really be making all the decisions. Or, because Joe Biden was soooooooo old, he was going to die in office, leaving the duty of running the nation to Harris. This was despite the fact that Biden was only three years older than Donald Trump.

This is what the egregiously racist New York Post had to say back in June —

A vote for Joe Biden this November is a vote to make Kamala Harris president next year, or soon thereafter.

This president can’t possibly last another four years: His decline is unmistakable and plainly accelerating rapidly — however much he and the rest of his party deny it.

Worse is that few Americans have confidence in the Queen of Word Salads, not to mention the weird cackles or her near-invisible record as vice president.

The logic behind this was that no one (white) would knowingly vote for Harris — a Black woman of Jamaican and South Asian descent. No, the only way she would make it into office was through treachery and deceit — hoodwinking…
