Angel Reese Does Not Accept First Lady Jill Biden’s Backpedaling
Good for her…
Despite the attacks against her, Angel Reese, the 20-year-old forward for LSU women’s basketball team, continues to hold her own and be unapologetically herself.
I wrote about it here and here.
Reese was attacked by racists after defeating Caitlyn Clark, and the University of Iowa’s women’s basketball team, leading her team to victory in the 2023 women’s NCAA championship.
Reese made a simple hand gesture, aiming it at opponent Clark, that means you can’t see me. Reese also pointed at her finger — the finger that would soon be adorned with her championship ring.
This led to a deluge of racist attacks against Reese, despite Clark being celebrated for making the exact same hand gesture only days earlier.
In a pure and unadulterated racist attack from pundits, sports fans, athletes, and white people who choose to be angry every time a Black person excels, the young woman was labeled ghetto, classless, a thug, and a f***ing idiot amongst other derogatory names.
