There has been much made in the media of Trump’s latest fundraiser this past Saturday in Florida. The focus has been on the wealthy donors he invited and their motivations for showing up. The consensus has been that they’re not stupid enough to think Trump is qualified to be president. No. They showed up and gave him money, lots of money, for the kickbacks they plan to receive from his “favors the uber rich” tax laws and business policies. They support him for the root of all evil — the almighty dollar. As a great book once said — the love of the almighty dollar is the root of all evil. As CNN reports —
The price tag for the fundraiser ranged from $250,000 per person for those serving on the “host committee” to $824,600 per person to serve as a “chairman.” Perks for those contributing at the top level included dinner seating at Trump’s table.
Only a sliver of the population could afford those prices, and Trump’s policies will only favor a sliver of the population. Got it?!
