When my sister and I were younger, we would argue all the time! Naturally, we would run to our mother to settle the arguments. She would often ask us, if what we were saying was a fact or an opinion.

My sister and I would argue about any and everything under the sun, but it was easy to settle our arguments by figuring out what were facts and what were our opinions. Egypt is in Asia. (fact) Go pick up an Encyclopedia Brittanica and see what it says.

Red is a prettier color than blue. (Opinion)

Michelle Kwan is a better figure skater than Tara Lipinski. (Opinion)
