At Chick-Fil-A — Would You Like Racism Along With Your Spicy Chicken?
At this point, we all know what kinda restaurant Chick-Fil-A is. It’s conservative. It’s MAGA. In fact, they don’t try to hide it.
I don’t have a problem with Christians or conservatism — naturally. I do have a problem with businesses taking a political stance — especially when it’s a stand that’s to the far right. Why? This promotes intolerance. Who wants to spend money at a place that doesn’t respect them because of the color of their skin, their religion, their gender, or their sexuality. You can never go wrong when you include everyone — particularly the marginalized. All dollars matter!
So — Chick-Fil-A has the reputation of being homophobic, transphobic, and racist.
The restaurant chain was founded by Southern Baptist S. Truett Cathy. Chick-Fil-A’s current CEO, Dan Cathy, not the company, is a large dollar donor to the National Christian Charitable Foundation (NCF) that bankrolls opposition to The Equality Act, which protects LGBTQ people. Why don’t you want everyone to have equality and freedom to live in a safe environment? What’s the opposite? You want people to be scorned, bullied, and marginalized because of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. That’s it. That’s all. Because you surely can’t police the color of someone’s skin or who they choose to love.
