Did You Root For You’s Joe Goldberg? It’s Okay; You Were Supposed To.
Now let’s root for his downfall…
The fourth season of You threw many of us for a loop. The jig is up. Joseph Goldberg is a BAD man. Joe confronts his shadow self, and finally accepts himself for who he is. A sociopath.
This means that it’s now time for the viewer to accept this too.
There’s not going to be any redemption for Joe, and he’s not misunderstood.
Joe is the opposite of who he believed himself to be — noble, altruistic, rational, an everyman, and a hopeless romantic. In truth, he is an egomaniac, money-hungry, narcissistic, violent, and a psychopath.
In the fifth and last season, airing next year, Joe is more than likely going to finally get his just desserts.
It was funny watching viewers on social media act surprised to learn that Joe is deranged. And evil.
Where had they been for the past three seasons???!
