Don’t Worry Darling Had A Good Message. Too Bad You Had To Watch The Movie To Get It.

This Sunday I got two tickets for Don’t Worry Darling. It’s a movie that has gotten tons of press, and that I’ve seen everywhere online and on social media. Apparently the director/producer of the movie, Olivia Wilde, left her fiancé while filming for the lead actor, Harry Styles. Juicy.

The thing about the previews for Don’t Worry Darling was that they didn’t give me any idea what the movie would be about!

SPOILER: The movie didn’t either, not until the end! I had no clue what I was watching for over an hour!

I’m not going to give the plot away, but I’m glad I didn’t 1.)leave the theatre or 2.)fall asleep in the comfy, reclining chair like I wanted to.

At the end of the movie, not only did the film get interesting, but it made an incredibly insightful and compelling point. Before that, there was only a nice wardrobe.

The general point is that men want to control women, and the less control they feel they have, the more they will act out in harmful ways towards women.

Think overturning Roe v. Wade, taking away the reproductive rights of women, or the way some men have become openly hostile towards women lately while blaming it on women. They disrespect, abuse, or assault…
