Nice guys don’t finish first.

I feel uncomfortable writing this one because it sounds so bad, but hear me out. There are big fish and there are little fish, and right now it seems like the big fish are eating the little fish. Look at the way the pandemic is being handled. Climate change is being ignored, the wealth gap is increasing, racism is getting worse, and Afghanistan has fallen. Whether it’s business, politics, or your own job, it seems ruthlessness, selfishness, and even psychopathy are regularly rewarded. The people who get ahead often look out for the best interests of the few while ignoring the plight of the rest.

Bright side: Sometimes good overcomes evil and the good fight is always being fought.

I get a little peeved whenever someone says they love getting older. I don’t believe it. Sorry. I’m just not buying it. Who doesn’t mind aging? There are a lot of hard truths that come with it. A slowing metabolism is not fun to me nor are these deep-set bunny lines that make me certain I’m getting botox when I have the money. Having a biological clock is dreadful and I could barely walk for a week recently because I pulled my groin. I still don’t know how. Aside from the superficial and physical, time is an asset. As you get older, so do the ones you love…
