Forcing Ten-Year-Olds To Give Birth Is Why I Cannot Be Pro-Life

A ten-year-old girl, a victim of sexual molestation and child rape, was denied an abortion in the state of Ohio.

By doing so, the state denied this little girl her humanity, dignity, and right to a free life. These things were already stolen from the child when she was sexually abused, but to make things abhorrently worse, she was denied an abortion, a procedure I’m sure she doesn’t understand, by the state she lives in. Along with the psychological and physical trauma of her abuse, this child was forced into legalities over whether she has a right to terminate a pregnancy she surely does not understand or is mentally, or physically, capable of handling. How protected is the identity of the child as this case makes the rounds? How long do you think the abuse has been going on? How much of anything do you think this child understands? Also, who is responsible for impregnating the girl, because that’s the only way the law should be involved in this case?

Who forces a ten-year-old child to carry and birth the baby of her rapist or any baby for that matter? What kind of person has the audacity to say they are taking the moral high-ground and protecting the sanctity of life? If you claim children have rights, what are the rights of this child?
