I didn’t know
I felt the way I did until I felt it.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it,
does it still make a sound?
Forgive me,
I’ve never been good with my emotions
or my feelings.
They boil over and tumble out like too much water in the pot,
or show up in the most unexpected of ways,
stray comments — often harsh —
or moments of silence
weaponized.
