Going Out To Eat Is A Waste of Money So I’m Giving It Up

I’m done wasting money at restaurants…

I’m giving up on going out to eat at restaurants.

Why? It’s expensive. Sometimes, it’s time consuming. The food isn’t always good. Service can be awful. The drinks — alcoholic and non-alcoholic — are way overpriced. Something about sitting at the table of a restaurant makes you want to order an appetizer, and/or, a dessert.

By the time you leave, you have a ridiculously expensive ticket, (something like $40-$80 these days) and you’re still hungry. Depending on the time of the day, you might have to cook, or buy, something else to eat once you leave.

I don’t really want to hear anything about eating out at restaurants being a social event either. If you feel like it is, good for you. I don’t. I would much rather cook food and make cocktails at home. There’s seconds and the alcoholic beverages are bottomless.

Oh, and you have to tip!!! Whether the service is bad or not, you have to leave a tip. It’s also supposed to be 20% of your bill. And, if you don’t want to tip, don’t go out to eat. It’s as simple as that.

And since I no longer want to tip, I no longer want to go out to eat.

It’s just not worth it…for me.
