I actually have more than one takeaway.

But the most important one is — stop idolizing people.

Stop making strangers your couple goals.

Celebrities exist to entertain us through their movies, music, etc. but what else does society expect from them?

Many people stated that they were disappointed by the revelation that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been unofficially divorced since 2016.

Why are you disappointed in the demise of someone else’s relationship — someone else’s relationship that you don’t even know?

People claimed they were disappointed because they aspired to be like the Smiths, only to realize that the Smiths had been deceiving them, so they felt betrayed.

Maybe it was not your business.

I don’t feel that the Smiths betrayed anyone.

And, yes, we all have opinions and we’re free to them. You’re free to be Team Will or Team Jada.

You’re free to, like many people, despise Pinkett Smith because you feel she’s embarrassing and emasculating her superstar husband.

But it reeks of misogynoir.

Not that you don’t like her, but that you dislike her so vehemently….
