I knew beforehand that this happens when Black people travel certain places abroad. In fact, there are many places that I, as a Black person, wouldn’t even go to. I have a list. There were some Black people who live, or have lived, in Turkey, who said this was abnormal, and that they didn’t have the same experience. They also said there’s more than a handful of Black people in turkey. Idk. But it’s now on my list of places I would never travel to.
