I think it's possible she felt that way, that she was standing up to a man, and that's why she decided to tell this particular story. However, I think racism/white supremacy trumps the patriarchy, and she behaved from a sense of entitlement. White supremacy trumped feminism because I don't think she would have responded to a white producer of the same caliber as Denzel Washington in the same way.
