I wrote an article defending Richard Williams and him being the main character of the movie "King Richard." Some people assumed I didn't know about his first family, or other outside children, and kept reminding me he wasn't a hero. I never said Richard Williams was perfect. He's not portrayed as perfect in the film, and the kids he abandoned are only mentioned for a second, that's true, but it is mentioned. How he treated Sabrina and his other children he abandoned is shameful. There's no denying that. I'm not sure why you compare him to Will Smith though. He's an actor and he did a phenomenal job in his role. Should he have turned down the movie, or should the movie not have been made, because Richard Williams isn't perfect? The side of Richard Williams portrayed in the movie isn't un-true, it's just incomplete. I don't t think the comparison between Will Smith and Richard Williams is fair. Will Smith slapped a man who constantly disrespects his wife, and Chris Rock is a grown man, despite the height difference. I haven't heard anything about Will Smith abusing women or abandoning his children.
