I’m not ashamed of my ancestors ma’am. You didn’t read that anywhere in my article because I didn’t say it. Nor would I ever say it. I’m not ashamed of this man either and I didn’t say that. It’s 2023 though. That means a Black person can knock a white person out. That’s neither here nor there because I believe this man was right not to hit that woman. I didn’t think I had to spell that out. Either way she should be punished for her behavior. That’s how you reward this man for tolerating her abuse—that she levied on him because she knew he more than likely wouldn’t retaliate—because if the cops showed up, he would have been in trouble.
