I’m not going to write it. Lolol. I have less and less patience for people honestly and I probably wouldn’t be kind, and if people read it, there wouldn’t be any meaningful discourse to come from it. It’s what it is. The only thing that bugs me about the entire discourse is the gaslighting. If we can all agree that this definitely happens then I don’t think there’s anywhere to go from it. People are going to do what they do and these men are far too gone to reevaluate their mentalities.
I just hate the negative impact it has on Black women’s self esteem, “beauty” standards that are nothing more than colorism, the “competition” for the “eligible” men that causes “preferences” and “none preferences” to behave in unbecoming ways, blaming colorism on dark skinned people, claiming reverse colorism, ignoring privilege, and the fact that we overlook that these dark skinned men find themselves ugly too.
