Is America Doomed To Never Learn From Its Mistakes?
It sure seems that way…
The future of America is uncertain because this is one country that does not learn from its mistakes.
When someone says, America, what is meant by that?
Is it the constituents (the people who vote), the politicians, the citizens, society, or the land mass?
I think it’s all of the above, but the real problem is the people in power. The problem has always been the people in power.
Why? Because the people in power have always made the rules, and they have never had the best interests of the majority of the population at heart. Whose best interests have always been at heart? White men. White, land-owning, wealthy men, to be exact. Now, they’re called the one percent. Don’t worry, for every one percenter who isn’t a white male who also votes for the Republican party, there’s a white woman, or white 99 percenter waiting in the wings to vote Republican. Also, there are some people of color who also enjoy voting against their best interests.
If nothing else has become clear in the last few years, it’s that America does not learn from its mistakes.
