It Doesn’t Matter If Trump’s Indictment Was Political

It needed to be done.

Let’s be clear — the indictment of Trump isn’t solely political. He is a criminal, and he needed to be charged with something. Hopefully, charges will come next from Georgia and DC for election tampering, and inciting an insurrection, respectively.

But, if Manhattan DA Alvin Briggs, dug deep, or rather thought strategically, in order to be able to bring felony charges against Trump for paying off an adult-film-star, and lying about it in his accounting books, so be it.

The United States government finally brought down mobster Al Capone because of tax evasion, and not his other laundry list of crimes, after all.

Republicans, cry about it, well keep crying about it.
