No they’re not. Boundaries protect you. You have expectations for what you want/how you want to be treated. Sure. Some people will follow them. Some won’t. Your boundary is what you allow but ultimately you can’t control other people. He can’t tell anyone how to dress so his boundary would have been not getting in a relationship with a surfer who posted swimsuit pics. I have a boundary not to be disrespected in my comments. I cannot stop people from being disrespectful. I can point it out. And maybe the person will change their tone and we can have a conversation. Or they might not and decide to get more disrespectful. So my boundary is that I block them.
