Ten Adages That Actually Changed My Life
I know we’re supposed to view adages with contempt, but these ten actually changed the way I look at life.
You either run the day or it runs you. I can’t remember when I first heard this one, but boy, is it true! You have to live with intention, and you have to have a plan for each and every day. You plan your day out, and execute those plans, or your day is not well spent. By the night before — you need to know what you’re planning to do tomorrow.
The early bird catches the worm. This adage is actually not my favorite. What’s an early bird and I thought they ate bread? Yet — there is absolutely something magical about starting your day early. I don’t know if it’s the still of the morning, or the extra time you’re giving yourself. Wake up 30, 60, 90 minutes earlier than you’re used to — and see the changes you’ll be able to make in your life! You can use this time to get tasks done! Start your work day early, write, read, pray, exercise, eat a healthy breakfast. Not being stressed because you’re running behind in the morning makes your entire day better. Believe me! It’s better than hitting the snooze button…
