was good

spectacular really

elegant in its simplicity and small wonders

the extra found its way to ordinary

diamonds discovered

amongst the rubble of everyday, mundane life

hearts full

bellies full

glasses flowing

minds

at ease

we all agreed

that it couldn’t be

no, it doesn’t get

any better

right here, right now

in this moment

can this day

make all the others worth it?

not only for its glow

but that it took the others

the highs

the lows

an accumulation

to get to

this day

if one

just one

had been different

then this one

wouldn’t exist

so yes
