The Incredible Edible???

Last Sunday was 4/20. According to Time, 4/20 is —

a date that both marijuana smokers and non-smokers recognize as a national holiday for cannabis culture.

On Dec. 28, 1990, a group of Deadheads in Oakland handed out flyers that invited people to smoke “420” on April 20 at 4:20 p.m. One ended up with Steve Bloom, a former reporter for High Times magazine, an authority on cannabis culture. The magazine printed the flyer in 1991 and continued to reference the number. Soon, it became known worldwide as code for marijuana.

In 2012, Colorado and Washington became the first states to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Since then, 24 states have followed suit, and 38 states have legalized it for medical use.

Edibles, or edible cannabis products, “are products containing cannabinoids that you eat or drink.”

With the legalization of marijuana in almost half of America, edibles have become extremely popular.

For someone like me, edibles give you the feeling *or high* of smoking marijuana without the “ickiness” of actually having to smoke.

In 2022, market research firm BDSA “reported edibles brought in nearly $2.75 billion, up about $105 million from 2021. The edibles category experienced year-over-year growth of 4%, nearly doubling the overall industry…
