There seems to be a lot of people, men and women, but especially men, who are pushing the narrative that women should settle.

How do they do this?

They claim that women have unrealistic expectations.

They also claim that a woman’s market value declines, like a car, as she ages, while insisting that the same thing doesn’t happen to men. And not just wealthy, attractive and in shape men, but any man, simply by virtue of having a penis.

This is a narrative that has been pushed heavy lately.

There’s a place online called the manosphere.

The manosphere is a nasty place.

According to Wikipedia, the manosphere is a collection of websites, blogs, and online forums promoting masculinity, misogyny, and opposition to feminism. Communities within the manosphere include men’s rights activists, incels, Men Going Their Own Way, pick-up artists, and fathers’ rights groups.

The manosphere is a place for men of all ages and races, who don’t like women, to gather and complain about women, and plot on them, including giving tips on how to “effectively” date rape (this comes from the so-called pickup artists). Yes, this is true, so consider it as a warning…

Why are men in the manosphere so hellbent on lowering the self-esteem of women?

So they can have access to you!!!

I think these men fall into two categories.

First, there are the men who want longterm relationships, but they know they lack in areas (like finances, emotional intelligence, or even looks), so they need a woman’s self-esteem, and standards, to be so low that she gives him a chance.

Many people are familiar with the Psychology Today article from August titled The Rise of Lonely, Single Men. According to the article, 62% of dating app users are men. In fact, “over the last 30 years, men have become a larger portion of that growing group of long-term single people.”

Do these younger and middle-age men not want relationships, or are they unable to find them?
