What These Two Articles That Made Me Over $1,000 Dollars A Piece On Medium Had In Common

I don’t know if these articles were viewed, and earned enough, to be classified as “going viral” but I was pleased with the results.

These two articles that earned me over $1,000 dollars a piece have several things in common. First of all, I didn’t expect either of these articles to do so well. I had no clue when I published them that they would even be read by more than a few people. I have definitely put more time and effort — and was prouder of the end result on countless articles — articles that weren’t nearly as well received.

So without further ado, keeping these things in mind, you and I can write more high-earning articles.

1. They were both “off the cuff.” I didn’t plan on writing either of these articles. There wasn’t any outlining or prep done. I just let the words flow.
