Why Do We Want To Eat The Rich?

It’s because they’re super tasty from all the caviar and Wagyu beef they consume.

According to Wikipedia, eat the rich is a political slogan associated with class conflict and anticapitalism. The phrase is commonly attributed to political philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, from a quote first popularized during the French Revolution: “When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich.”

The more people seemingly attack the rich, the more people are asked why do we hate the rich???

Whether it’s the Occupy Wall Street movement from a decade ago, or new cries from the public for a more socialist, or at least more financially equitable political and economic system, the people are fed up.

Seriously though — do we hate the rich? Or, are we merely jealous, and want to trade places with them? Do we want their yachts, mansions, fancy cars, and most importantly, the freedom to not have to worry about our finances? Especially since they love to rub our noses in it.

Or, could it be that we think there’s some corruption, or even a deal with the devil (hello Illuminati), that takes place when one gains access to millions, especially billions. It’s the Bible that says it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Is…
