You keep saying it happened because he’s Black. The premise of my article is that it didn’t happen because he’s Black. He had on shades, a cap, and he handed over a note. It doesn’t matter what was on the note. If you’re triggered by someone in shades with a cap on, handing over a note, you’re not thinking about what’s on the note. Comparing this to Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman is a false equivalency. It is flat out stupid to come to a bank with shades and a hat on, then hand over a note to a teller. Zero common sense. Nobody is going to change my mind about that. What would I look like with sunglasses on indoors, inside a bank, then handing a note over to the teller.
